第1条(個人情報の取得方法)
氏名、連絡先を含む利用者の個人情報は、外部委託業者を通じて、総領事館が収集します。予約手続きを進めら
れた場合、総領事館に代わり外部委託業者が予約目的で個人情報を収集することに利用者が同意したものとみな
されます。

第2条(個人情報の利用目的)
総領事館が予約手続きを通じて得た情報を利用、保存する目的は、以下のとおりです。
(1)予約手続きのため
(2)利用者からの問い合わせに回答するため
(3)メンテナンス、重要なお知らせなど必要に応じたご連絡のため
(4)利用規約に違反したユーザーや、不正・不当な目的でサービスを利用しようとするユーザーの特定をし、ご
利用をお断りするため
(5)利用者にご自身の登録情報の閲覧や変更、削除、ご利用状況の閲覧を行っていただくため

第3条(個人データの第三者提供)
オンライン予約の際、利用者によって提供されたすべての情報は、総領事館、外部委託業者及び法令に基づく開
示要請があった場合の法執行機関によってのみ保存、共有されます。法令に基づく開示要請があった場合、不正
アクセス・脅迫等の違法行為があった場合、その他特別の理由のある場合を除き、収集した情報を予約目的以外
のために利用、または第三者に提供いたしません。ただし、統計的に処理された当サイトのアクセス情報、利用
者属性等の情報については公表することがあります。法令に基づく開示請求があった場合を除き、オンライン予
約による個人情報の開示請求には応じられません。

第4条(個人データの安全対策について)
総領事館は収集した情報の漏えい、滅失または毀損の防止のため、またその他収集した情報の適切な管理のため
に、SSLプロトコルの利用を含む必要な措置を講じます。総領事館は、予約サイトを通じて収集された個人情報の
保護のため、セキュリティ対策に万全を期していますが、インターネット通信を利用しているため、データ保護
やセキュリティ対策において絶対に安全とは言い切れません。本サービスを使用することに起因して、直接的、
間接的損害、または付随的、結果的損害(逸失利益、ビジネスの中断、システムプログラムおよび情報の損失を含
むがこれに限らない)が発生した場合も、一切の責任は負いません。

第5条(その他)
総領事館は、当ポリシーを適宜見直し、必要に応じて変更することがあります。総領事館は、当ポリシーを変更
した場合、変更後のポリシーをウェブサイト上に公開する等の適切な措置を講じます。

Privacy policy

The Consulate-General of Japan in Vancouver (hereafter, the Consulate-General) recognizes
the importance of protecting the personal information of users obtained through the
reservation system (hereafter, the Reservation System) provided by the reservation management
system “Rizaen” operated by InterQuest Co., Ltd.

Article 1 (Method of Obtaining Personal Information)
The Consulate-General will collect users' personal information, including names and contact
details, through an external contractor. If you proceed with the reservation procedure, you are
deemed to have consented to the external contractor collecting your personal information for
the purpose of making a reservation on your behalf.

Article 2 (Purpose of Using Personal Information)
The purpose of using and storing the information obtained by the Consulate-General through
the reservation procedure is as follows.
(1) For the reservation procedure
(2) To respond to inquiries from users
(3) To contact users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, etc.
(4) To identify users who have violated the Terms of Use or who are attempting to use the
service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse them access
(5) To allow users to view, change, delete, or view their own registered information

Article 3 (Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties)
All information provided by users when making online reservations will be stored and shared
only by the Consulate-General, external contractors, and law enforcement agencies in response
to requests for disclosure based on laws and regulations. Except in cases where there is a
request for disclosure based on laws and regulations, cases of illegal access, threats, or other
illegal activities, or other special circumstances, the collected information will not be used for
purposes other than reservations or provided to third parties. However, access information for
this site that has been processed statistically, as well as information on user attributes, etc., may
be made public. Except in cases where disclosure is requested in accordance with the law,
requests for disclosure of personal information obtained through online reservations will not be
honored.

Article 4 (Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Data)
The Consulate-General will take the necessary measures, including the use of SSL protocol, to
prevent the leakage, loss or damage of collected information and to ensure the appropriate
management of collected information. The Consulate-General takes all possible security
measures to protect the personal information collected through the reservation site, but because
it uses internet communication, it cannot be said to be absolutely safe in terms of data protection
and security measures. The Consulate-General accepts no responsibility for any direct or indirect
damage, or incidental or consequential damage (including but not limited to lost profits, business
interruption, loss of system programs and information) arising from the use of this service.

Article 5 (Miscellaneous)
The Consulate-General may review this policy from time to time and make changes as necessary.
If the Consulate-General makes changes to this policy, it will take appropriate measures such as
publishing the revised policy on its website.
